The Kevin Quinn Memorial Foundation honors the life and legacy of Kevin Quinn – a beloved brother, son, uncle, and friend whose passion for connection and community touched the lives of many.
Kevin Quinn was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and grew up in Oakland, developing the character and passions that would define his too-short but remarkable life. A 2001 graduate of Sparta High School and a 2005 alumnus of Siena College, Kevin quickly established himself as a driven and passionate individual who approached every aspect of life with enthusiasm and commitment.
From the moment he graduated with his accounting degree, Kevin charted an impressive professional path. He began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers, gaining critical financial skills before joining BBL Management in 2007. By 2018, he had risen to become Vice President of Finance at BBL Hospitality, a position he cherished not just as a job, but as an extension of his professional family.
Rugby was more than just a sport for Kevin – it was a calling. As a player for Siena College’s rugby team from 2002 to 2005, he discovered a community that would shape his life’s trajectory. Even after hanging up his playing jersey, Kevin remained deeply connected to the sport. He coached the team from 2007 to 2011 and subsequently led the Siena Rugby Alumni Board for over a decade, playing a pivotal role in elevating the program from a club to a Division 1 team.
An athlete at heart, Kevin transformed his love for running from casual 5K participant to serious marathoner. His running journey culminated in completing the 2022 NYC Marathon, a testament to his determination and spirit. The Utica Boilermaker 15K became an annual tradition, and he was known for running races in creative costumes that showcased his playful personality.
Beyond athletics, Kevin was a multifaceted individual with diverse interests. He was an avid golfer, an enthusiastic fisher, a hiker who conquered Adirondack high peaks, and a sports fan who passionately followed Siena Basketball, Notre Dame Football, the New York Giants, and the New York Yankees.
Kevin’s true wealth was measured not in professional achievements, but in relationships. Known for his magnetic personality, quick wit, and generous spirit, he was the type of person who would do anything for anyone. He was a devoted uncle who made special time for each of his nephews and niece, a loyal friend who maintained connections across years and miles, and a beloved son who put family first.
His philanthropic spirit was evident in his consistent participation in charity events, golf outings, and community runs. Whether dressed in a quirky running costume or supporting a local cause, Kevin approached life with an infectious sense of humor and an open heart.
A proud dog father to Tucker and Grover, Kevin embodied the qualities of loyalty, love, and unconditional support – not just to his pets, but to everyone in his life. His ability to make people laugh, feel supported, and feel valued was his greatest legacy.
Kevin Joseph Quinn’s life was a testament to living fully, loving deeply, and connecting meaningfully – a reminder that true richness comes from the impact we have on others and the communities we serve.
